Hydrogen Energy Research Project in Fukushima (Power to Gus)
At the Fukushima Hydrogen Energy Research Field in Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, the world-largest electrolyzer with 10 MM capacity, powered by solar PV with 20 MW capacity started producing hydrogen. Annual hydrogen production capacity amounts to about 200 tons per year. This is a demonstration project to lower the cost of hydrogen production based on solar PV as well as ensure reliability and flexibility of the large-scale hydrogen production system.
