Waste management and Circular Economy/sustainable production and consumption
Part of Policy Document 4023 “Policy for economic reactivation, and sustainable and inclusive growth: New commitment for the future of Colombia”
Design and implement a strategy for the development of regional projects and initiatives in circular economy regarding commerce, industry and tourism (financing, co-financing, investment funds, advisory models and productive scaling).
The transition to the circular economy requires a transformation of the producing firms towards less resource-intensive business models, which is why incentive packages will be created to support circular industrial initiatives, clusters and regional projects. These incentives will comprise loans, investment funds, and the advisory to productive and commercial scaling for green entrepreneurship related to circular economy. With this measure, it is expected to generate new green jobs to help reducing inequality, improve the natural capital conservation and contribute to mitigate climate change.
