Waste management and Circular economy / sustainable production and consumption

Recovery plan: Waste sorting, recycling and reclamation
Three activities will be supported:
1. Sorting of recyclable waste (financial aid for deploying waste sorting in the streets and modernising waste sorting centres)
2. Biowaste recovery (financial aid to local government authorities for collecting and processing waste from households and companies)
3. Energy recovery from solid recovery fuel (financial aid for investing in energy production units)
Support will come from an existing fund endowed with an extra €274m in 2020-2022.
