Recovery plan: Energy renovation of private residential buildings
Two thirds of greenhouse gases emissions of the building sector come from the residential sector. In parallel with the completion of the transformation of the energy transition tax credit into a bonus scheme “MaPrimeRénov'”, an additional €2bn will be mobilized in 2021-2022 to strengthen the public support for energy renovation in private housing. The benefit will focus on “global renovation” and will be open to lessors and condominius. Efforts aim at eliminating “thermal colander” (low-performing buildings) by 2030 and reaching the goal of “low-consuming buildings” standard by 2050.
