The forest sector in Mozambique, is one of sector which has gone several processes reforms starting with legislation and policy reforms which has main objective of promoting the protection, conservation, valuing and use of forest heritage, in its diversity of goods and services.
In this period we face the Covid 19, the Ministry of land and Environment plan to introduce the digitization of the forestry information in Mozambique, which this system will help to move from analog to digital processes.
The adoption of digital system contribute for the COVID 19 response in forestry sector, as this will contribute for the flexibility of the process and also avoid contact with forest officers and community people in this process of gathering and filling in information.
Others measures which includes the use of drones for mapping and forest inventories, also submission of georeferenced information on forest inventories and management plans
